December 3rd – 7th, 2021 MLS Next is hosting their inaugural MLS Next Fest at Silver Lakes Sports Complex in Norco, CA (just outside of Los Angeles) for U15-U19 MLS Next Teams. Charger Teams In Attendance:
Chargers SC MLS Next 07 (U15) – Coach Mario Cruz: Their first game was on 12/3 that was a loss against Solar SC. Their 2nd game vs. Murrieta Soccer Academy was a 0-2 loss. On 12/6, their 3rd game vs. Cedar Stars Academy-Monmouth ended with a loss.
Chargers SC MLS Next 06 (U16) – Coach Jo Ilett: On 12/3, for their first game, they ended with a 2-1 win over Met Oval. On 12/5, they had a 2nd win (2-1) against the Nomads and they won (4-2) their 3rd game on 12/6 vs. Louisiana TDP Elite. They won their group.
Chargers SC MLS Next 05 (U17) – Coach Kyle Clinton: On 12/4 they tied 0-0 with FC United Soccer. On 12/5 they lost 1-2 to Balistic United and their last game is scheduled for 12/7 vs. FC Westchester.
Chargers SC MLS Next 03 (U19) – Coach Andres Arango: On 12/4 ended up with a 2-1 win vs AFC Lightning. Their 2nd game is scheduled for late on 12/6 against FC Westchester and their last game is set for 12/7 against Napa United.
