The LWR Chargers Soccer Club’s Junior and Senior Competitive Program is for competitive and premier level players, between the ages of 11 and 19, who demonstrate the desire and ability to learn and play soccer in a higher competitive format where the mission is to train and develop skilled players.
The LWR Chargers SC Competitive program is designed to develop each individual player to his/her fullest potential while at the same time inspiring responsibility and commitment to a team. We believe strongly in developing a club that has players that are technically sound, tactically aware and physically capable who are very comfortable with the ball and who live for the game.
The LWR Chargers SC coaches and staff are also committed to teaching valuable life lessons emphasizing personal character and to helping all players become the best people they can become through the principles of integrity, honesty, dedication and commitment.

Youth Academy
The LWR Chargers SC Youth Academy Program is open to players 8U-9U and 10U and it is the final phase before players enter into our Competitive Program. Our Youth Academy Program focuses on the complete development of each individual player and it provides an educational environment for boys and girls to learn through training and playing.
The main emphasis is of enjoying the process of technical development and gradual tactical understanding. The main goal of our Youth Academy Program is to promote individual player development and overall team development in a child centered environment.
The objective is to develop each of the four components of a soccer player: Technical, Tactical, Psychological and Physical in a FUN and age appropriate manner.
Training Environment
Players train in pool training format (players are matched up developmentally in smaller groups)
Players train a minimum of 2 days per week
Technical skills repetitions with every player having their own ball to improve ball mastery.
Player-centered activities
Game-like activities in nature (i.e. problem-solving, decision making)
Why Youth Academy
Emphasize player development and overall team development while focusing on the technical development of each individual player without the pressures of short-term wins/losses/results.
Develop ball skill and decision making in the game.
Create a fun and dynamic atmosphere for players.
Help educate parents on how to understand the sport and their role as a supporter of their child’s development.
Prepare younger players for the possible transition into competitive soccer.
Offer a program that will follow recommendations and guidelines that are for each player best interest.
The Pre-YA (Pre-Youth Academy) for the 2023/24 season is open to players born in 2017 ONLY who are interested in advancing their technical and physiological soccer abilities. This Pre-YA will have an age-appropriate training curriculum and will have only certified coaches.
Players born in 2016 will be invited to join the Pre-YA program through an evaluation process and will be selected based on skill level, athleticism, soccer IQ, motivation, and concentration.
